Firing/Ignition Techniques

Six subject matter experts, including experienced Burn Bosses, Ignition Specialists and Firing Bosses offer lessons learned, effective practices, and innovative ways of overcoming challenges pertaining to ignition and firing. The intent is to help fire management personnel reproduce successes and avoid recurrent mistakes, with respect to safety.

This report offers six lessons learned, five effective practices, and six innovative approaches to overcoming challenges, as reported by six expert burners.
