The National Interagency Coordination Center at the National Interagency Fire Center compiles annual wildland fire statistics for federal and state agencies. This information is gathered from the Incident Management Situation Reports, which have been in use for several decades. It is reported by federal, state, local, and tribal land management agencies through established reporting channels.
