Dispatchers play a crucial role in airspace coordination and deconfliction even though it is a shared responsibility among pilots, aviation managers, operations, safety, and airspace coordinators. The primary focus in airspace coordination and deconfliction is mid-air collision avoidance. The National Airspace System (NAS) is a limited resource, and we must be committed to mitigating our impacts to the NAS as we strive to be good stewards of National Airspace System.
