Media Submission

Do you have an amazing image or video of wildland firefighters, a wildfire, a prescribed fire, or one of the many firefighting resources we use? If you'd like to share your file, fill out the form and send it to us today. Please provide all the information requested. We may contact you if we have additional questions.

By submitting your image or video you consent to it being featured on our website or the NIFC social media accounts. All images taken by federal employees on government time are considered to be public domain.

Safety is the top priority of all the agencies at NIFC. The external affairs staff recognizes that wildland fire personnel work in some very picturesque places and are often close to the action. Firefighter safety is paramount and taking photos should NOT interfere with operational duties.

When submitting an image, please make sure it is at least 3000 pixels in width or length. Videos should be less than 20 MB. All photos must follow the following naming convention: PhotographerName_FireName_Location_ST_MonthYear (i.e., JaneDoe_MeadowFire_McCall_ID_July2020).
