The Federal Wildland Firefighter Health and Wellbeing Program, supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Department of the Interior, provides resources designed specifically for the fire community. Working alongside existing agency services, the program offers tools that reflect the unique experiences and needs of federal and Tribal firefighters.

The Wildland Fire Therapy Service connects federal wildland fire personnel with licensed mental health providers who understand the demands of emergency response work. Additional resources include the Department of the Interior’s Employee Assistance Program, the USDA Forest Service Employee Assistance Program, and Critical Incident Stress Management.
